Bartek Ziemski is a Polish ski mountaineer and a member of the Polish Mountaineering Association. In spring 2026, he successfully climbed and skied Lhotse and Mount Everest, bringing his total to nine of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks.
Skiing has been part of his life since the age of three. After years of alpine ski racing, he discovered climbing and gradually transitioned into ski mountaineering, developing his skills in the Tatra Mountains, on international expeditions, and during several years living in Austria. His high-altitude achievements began in 2022, when he completed ski descents from Broad Peak and Gasherbrum II in the Karakoram.
All of his 8,000-meter summits have been achieved without supplemental oxygen and personal Sherpa support. Several of these expeditions were carried out together with Oswald Rodrigo Pereira as part of the MAD Ski Project.
When he is not in the mountains, Bartek enjoys windsurfing, paragliding, and cycling. Outside of sport, he works in IT and co-runs a ski club in Poland.
